2023 Birthday Wish List

When it comes to birthdays, I can celebrate others and shower them with love so well. Me? Not so much.

As a child, my parents always threw me parties, but the biggest one was when I was in fourth grade. I’ll never forget it. I felt SO loved.

In my twenties, I hardly ever wanted to make a big deal out of it. Nice outings with my family and friends were enough. Now, as I get older, I want to celebrate my life.

Why?

As I age, I’ve realized I’m here for a reason. And even though I feel like I still have no idea what I’m doing, one thing I do know is that I was born for a time such as this (Esther 4:14).

In this article, for the first time, I want to intentionally share my birthday wish list for fun!

What’s on my 2023 birthday wish list?

LE PLIAGE ORIGINAL POUCH WITH HANDLE

After owning my Rebecca Minkoff Avery Crossbody handbag for way over a decade, I felt like it was time to switch things up.

After some research and watching a few video reviews, I decided to choose a French brand that’s been around for a long time and go with Longchamp’s Le Pliage original pouch as my next casual handbag.

I also got this leather strap to turn it into a crossbody bag. I’ve always been a huge fan of crossbody bags. Love my hands-free life!

DIPTYQUE COTON CANDLE

I’m a major sucker for boujee candles. And that’s why I recently purchased this perfect fall candle.

This Coton candle is also part of their new holiday launch and I think it’s so pretty! Why not get a head start for the holidays, am I right?

GOLD CANDLE SNUFFER

I don’t own a candle snuffer much less a gold candle snuffer so I got myself this one!

GOLD CANDLE WICK TRIMMER

And why have a gold candle snuffer if I can’t have a matching gold wick trimmer to go along with it?

CARTIER RED CARD HOLDER

Ever since my friend and mentor, Rachel shared her red Cartier card holder on her Instagram stories nearly a year ago, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

I’ve been on the search for a red vintage one for the last few weeks. While I haven’t had great luck yet, I don’t mind the new cardholder style either!

APL SNEAKERS

If you’ve been around long, you know I’m a huge fan of APL.

Even though I can’t remember what sneakers I have or how many (my wardrobe is in storage), I’ll always look to APL for my sneaker needs.

That said, I got myself a white Techloom Breeze pair for my birthday kicks this year!

VITAMIX ASCENT A3500 GOLD BLENDER

While I do own a Vitamix blender, I’ve only used it a handful of times. I’m really thinking of gifting it to a super close family friend whom I see as a second dad. He loves to make fruit smoothies and his is dying a slow death. This thing is a workhorse so why not, right?!

Whether I end up at an apartment or in a house, I’d definitely reinvest and get a white and gold blender for my next home. Hopefully, they’ll have black and gold by the time I find a more permanent place to live.

SUBLIMAGE LE CONCENTRÉ LUMIÈRE

Anything Chanel beauty is always on my wishlist. While I didn’t like all of their new launches, I did love this liquid highlighter in the form of a serum!

CROPPED GARÇON SHIRT WITH CRYSTALS

Even though I haven’t seen this rhinestone button-up in person, I love that the rhinestones are more spread out for a subtle glam vibe.

Definitely a “casual” birthday top as well as for the holidays, new years, and 4th of July! See? It’s already worth being on my wish list!

’90s CLASSIC STRAIGHT JEAN WITH RHINESTONES

I saw these rhinestone jeans in person recently and they are subtle yet STUNNING! My kind of denim for a girls night out for sure. This pair is definitely at the top of my wishlist, but I’ll need to try it on as it’s a mid-rise style and I’ve been a high-waisted girl for a few years now.

RHINESTONE-STUDDED HEADBAND

Again with the rhinestones, Huong! I added this to the list as a “fun” item. I love the neutral color and feel that the width is not too thin or too wide. Perfect to dress up any look, right?! It also comes in other colors, but I liked Khaki the best.
