And just like that, we’re back for our monthly Transformation Thursday series! Once again, this month’s post is more blogger-focused so if you’re a new or aspiring blogger or just want to get better at your game, you’ll definitely want to check out these resources!
Article (1 Minute Read)
Here’s Exactly How Much Your Instagram Posts Are Worth by Jeanette Settembre – This article is for bloggers who are beginning to secure paid collaborations/campaigns to post on Instagram. This is a well-written article that not only explains around what ballpark you should charge for a post, but breaks down the differences of various influencer “levels” and gives you an idea of what high-profile influencers charge.
I think this article is a great starting place as you figure out what to charge. My advice is to be fair yet know what it takes to shoot the kind of photo you’ll be posting while keeping in mind to charge what you’re worth. I know it’s personally helped me a lot as Jeanette shares a new website that gives you a ballpark of what your invoice should be.
Apps (Receipts)
We can all use apps to keep our lives more organized, especially as entrepreneurs, right? I personally hate finding receipts in my wallet, work bag and car way later on. The worst part? I find them only to realize I didn’t document it AND the ink has faded. Insert female face smack emoji here!
Shoeboxed to the rescue! It’s an app you can use to scan and organize your receipts. Even better? You can store business cards, create expense reports, track mileage and more. If you have a large business or one that’s growing faster that you anticipated, they have monthly plans on their website version to make your life a lot easier!
Video Tutorial (7:33 length)
How I Edit Instagram Photos | Lightroom Tutorial by Marianna Hewitt
In one of my first Transformation Thursday posts, I talked about Marianna and shared a video on how she edited her Instagram feed. At this time, she was really known for her blush pink aesthetic. This time around, she gives her readers/followers an update on her current method. And if you already aren’t following her yet, her feed now gives off orange-y/summery vibes.
Capsule Wardrobe Ideas
10 Capsule Wardrobe Essentials For Endless Outfit Options by Catherine of The Blissful Mind
I’ve searched high and low for a basic yet realistic capsule wardrobe for a very long time. It wasn’t until I discovered Catherine’s post this week that I thought, “Finally! This is one I can follow AND share!” To me, a basic capsule wardrobe is a fantastic foundational start to any stylish, comfy and functional closet.
It’s important to have a wardrobe you love so much that you’ll re-wear and mix and match any piece at any given time. And if you tend to be a creature of habit, why not give a capsule wardrobe a shot, right? And if you find it really important to you, you’ll invest in this capsule wardrobe or at a few of these pieces. In the end, you can save money as you re-wear these pieces for your outfits on your blog too!
I personally plan on using Catherine’s post as a guide for my basics while I slowly check off my wardrobe must-haves. I mean, I already have a few pieces and know exactly which brands to go for for the rest of them. Not going to lie, thinking of this actually makes me happy, ha! You know what? As I add these pieces to my closet, I’ll share what I got and where I found them with you!
And that’s all for our first summer month’s Transformation Thursday series!
As always, I’m always open to serving you. You can DM me on my social media platforms or email me if you have any questions or want me to find something for you!
