When it comes to collecting beauty products, I’m a hoarder or maximalist if you will. Putting on makeup on the other hand? I’m a minimalist.
If I find a beauty product that works for me, I tend to turn it into a “beauty empty” before I try anything else new from my collection. I guess you can say that I’m a major creature of habit, especially with skincare and makeup.
That said, I wanted to write a fun article and share current beauty favorites that are in my bag at the moment!
GO-TO MAKEUP
MERIT PERFECTING COMPLEXION STICK
So far, I love this complexion stick! This quick “swipe” application process is my favorite way to put on my under eye concealer.
However, I will say, like many reviewers have said, the product does break off. Truthfully, I bought it even after reading the reviews regarding quality control just because I was interested in trying it.
Although I was extra careful, it still broke. I brought mine back to the store and they gave me an even exchange. I still think it’s worth being in my beauty bag, at least for now. The shade I use is Dune.
HOURGLASS VEIL TRANSLUCENT SETTING POWDER
I had not used setting powder for over a decade until this past few years. After testing a few brands, this one has been my favorite so far!
HOURGLASS SOFT GLOW FOUNDATION BRUSH
While this brush is old news to many girls out there, it’s new to me. Verdict?
It’s my most used makeup brush now! I use it for my under eye concealer the most and highly recommend it as one of my top spring 2025 beauty favorites.
MAKEUP BY MARIO ETHEREAL EYES EYESHADOW PALETTE – NATURE
I had been searching for an eyeshadow palette with green in it for a longgg time. And I was close to finding a brand where I could create my own palette, but I’m so glad I held the line. When Mario came out with this nature palette, I was so glad I didn’t get Natasha Denona’s latest launch and got this one instead.
Guys, it’s SO good and in my opinion, I love it more than his original palette!
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS EYEBROW PENCIL
I kid you not when I say that I’ve been using this eyebrow pencil (shade Granite) for nearly a decade. It lasts so long and when there’s a sale, I always buy a backup.
The spoolie is great to use if you want to brush your brows or diffuse the color a bit.
PATRICK TA BLUSH IN ‘SHE GOES TO THE GYM’
Before I began using this product, I had been using this Chanel Les Beiges blush. And I must admit that while I love my Chanel beauty products, I’ve found myself using my Patrick Ta Blush more.
The powder formula is just beautiful! I use a light hand as it’s very pigmented. I haven’t used the cream part yet, so I’ll update this article when I do!
MAKEUP BY MARIO ULTRA SUEDE SCULPTING LIP PENCIL
As you can see from how short my pencil is from the photo, this is one of my favorite neutral pink lip pencils! For me, the color lasts longer than other lip pencils I’ve tried. I use the shade, Johnny, which is a muted rose pink.
Recently, I purchased Pink Peony, a vivid blue pink. Even though I think it’s too bright of a pink for my skin tone, I plan on mixing it with Johnny to see how it turns out. I’ll report back!
ELEVATE BEAUTY LIQUID LIPSTICK IN ‘GRACE’
I just knew this lip gloss would be my go-to for summer so I bought two tubes of it earlier this spring. Do I regret it? Not one iota!
It’s a clean formula, hydrating, smells amazing, and has lasting power compared to other glosses I’ve tried. Considering I’ve already used up more than half a tube, I’m pretty it’s a testament of how good this product is.
On the same note, I don’t think I will have enough for the summer. Oops, haha! ::adds two more glosses to cart::
DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW OIL
This is my absolute favorite lip oil! The wand is like a soft teddy bear hug on your lips. I plan on getting a few to stash them everywhere as I’ve been moving my one lip oil with me constantly.

SUMMER FRIDAYS RICH CUSHION CREAM
Let me tell you that if you want a moisturizing face cream that feels luxurious without the hefty La Mer price, this one is it! Marianna and Lauren definitely knew what they’re doing when they created this product.
For me, this face cream feels like a cherry on top after a long day. And it’s so good that I’m on my third jar. #CantStopWontStop
SUMMER FRIDAYS CC ME VITAMIN C SERUM
I just started using this vitamin C serum and love how it does not leave a sticky residue. So far, so good!
SUMMER FRIDAYS JET LAG MIDNIGHT RITUAL RETINOL RENEWAL SERUM
I had a really dark spot a zit left behind on my chin that I was becoming conscious about so I ordered this evening retinol back in the beginning of March.
After two weeks of daily use, I noticed the dark spot fading so I can confirm this product works! I’m about to finish the bottle so I will report back with additional thoughts.

HAIR CARE FAVORITES
CROWN AFFAIR HAIR TOWEL
I used Acquis hair towels in the past. While they were good at drying my thick hair, I felt like they didn’t stay well when I was doing things around the house. This hair towel though? It’s GOOD. So good, I’m tempted to buy a backup.
EMI JAY BIG EFFING CLIP
I absolutely loveee these hair clips!!! And I have Lauren to thank for introducing me to this brand as she sent me one last year. For someone who has thick hair, it does not budge! I got a second one in the buttercream color a few months ago and I have a feeling it’s going to be a slippery slope from here on out as it’s definitely one of my 2025 spring beauty favorites!
KITSCH OVERSIZED SCRUNCHIES
I recently got these oversized scrunchies for my birthday and LOVEEE them! It feels so soft and makes me feel girly!
EMI JAY ANGEL STICK HAIR SMOOTHING BALM
I have had so many fly aways over the years and have used snap clips to keep them at bay.
Enters this hair smoothing balm this past spring and it’s so good, I bought a second one. Trust me on this one, friends.
THE HAIR EDIT DETANGLING COMB
This wide-tooth comb is so good, I have one at my bedside and one in the shower. Need I say more?
KERASTASE ELIXIR ULTIME HYDRATING HAIR OIL
I’d say this is my second favorite hair oil next to Davines OI hair oil!

And for an off-beauty related favorite, my mom got me this Eagle Brand Medicated Roll On months ago. I keep it in my handbag and it has been so handy for when I have headaches, need some pain relief, or have mosquito bites.
Fun fact: I used this oil to get my sense of smell back after having c-vid (couldn’t smell for two or so months) using the olfactory method. Just closed my eyes and basically smelled this while reflecting on my childhood days of my mom using it on me when I was sick. After a few days, I got my sense of smell back!
