Transformation Thursday: March 2018 | She Sweats Diamonds

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just two weeks late on this monthly Transformation Thursday post, but you’ll forgive me right? If I’m listening close enough, I think I’m hearing you say, “Right!”

All jokes aside, I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through April already! The weather has been so weird here in Dallas lately too. One day, it was humid in the morning, hailed in the afternoon and got really cold at night. In Texas. In April.

Just so you know, that never happens so I thought I’d share five seconds of useless information with you, haha! Okay, enough chit chat. Let’s dive into my finds for the month of March!

Article – Blogging (2 Minute Read)

How Much Should You Be Charging for Sponsored Blog and Social Media ContentRhianna Olivia

Now that I’ve been blogging for a year, I decided to research about what to charge for producing content that aligns with my brand as well as brands I partner with. As I will always appreciate gifted product from companies and brands, product doesn’t pay the bills. I hate saying that, but it’s the truth.

Before I started researching about my value, I focused on my brand first. What I knew was that I wanted to write from a genuine place and share brands and their products/services that I love with you guys. I could already be accustomed to their products/services or I could discover new-to-me brands that I feel you and I both would love.

With that said, I came across this article on Pinterest by Rhianna and thought it was a great starting point. I hope you find it as useful as I did because she really spoke from her heart.

Book (Short read)

Resisting Happiness by Matthew Kelly

I’m halfway through reading this book and danggg. All I can say is that it’s GOOD. Warning, if you read books via Audible, the narrator is voiced by the author and it’s monotone. However, if you can get past that just for the content, you will not be disappointed. Kelly will change your perspective with his personal story. That’s all I can say without giving too much away.

Blogger Product

52 Lists Project Journal – I got this journal based on my friend, Kim’s recommendation. She got this journal along with another one and couldn’t stop talking about it. Naturally, I went out and got it and boy was she right. The questions asked in this journal really makes you think on how you should take care of yourself. I also plan on nabbing the 52 Lists for Happiness journal too!

Blogger Resource

TaxAct – I’m behind on my taxes, but not as behind as I was two years ago (submitted on the day of)! Julie Solomon recommended this tax service for small business owners, so if you’re a new-ish blogger and haven’t done your taxes yet, I’d look into this company and see what they’re all about!

Social Media Updates

Because of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, Facebook limited third party access from Instagram. For you and I, this means that if you want details on my outfits or want to shop them or products I recommend, you would need to do so so for through my blog under the ‘Shop’ tab. Just click on Shop My Instagram then click on the images and you’ll see all the links!

Another way to shop my looks and recommended products, is to do it through the Like To Know It App by following me (@huong). When you log on to Instagram, screenshot the image so it’ll show up on your LTK app and you can shop right from the app! Up to you!

As always, you can DM me on my social media platforms or email me if you have any questions! I’m always open to helping you with what you need!

That’s all for this month’s Transformation Thursday series! Happy Friday Eve!

If you’re new here, Transformation Thursday is a series of monthly edit of resources I share. You can listen to, use, read or watch what I’ve found/used to improve various parts of your life. It is my hope that at least one resource in each post adds value to your life!

Note: I was not gifted the products/services mentioned nor was I compensated or asked to review any of these brands or services. All opinions are solely my own.
