Happy Friday! Since the first day of spring was earlier this week, let’s end the week and talk about neutral accesories for the season! I wanted to mix up this edit by showing two different spring looks using the same accessories. If you’re like me and tend to spend more on accessories instead of clothes, you’ll enjoy this post!
To get a bang for your buck, go for neutral accessories that will pair with everything in your wardrobe. For this edit, I wanted to choose pieces under $100 that you can take from spring straight through summer. For bags, I use my bags in only two ways: hands-free with crossbody bags or totes where I carry my whole life everywhere.
I also believe in the “less is more” mentality. When it comes to jewelry, I have a 3/4 rule I follow. To keep from looking overdone, I only choose three out of four kinds of jewelry to wear. For example, if I choose studs, I’ll wear a bracelet and a ring. If I wear a statement necklace, I’ll wear studs and a ring and forgo wristcandy.
Let’s talk about my picks! These beaded tassel earrings are perfect for a small splash of color and this crystal mason ring adds a small touch of shimmer. Keep your outfit simple and for $12, let these cateye sunglasses make a statement! This faux leather tote in a beautiful neutral is perfect for work or for running errands on the weekends. No outfit is complete without strappy sandals that will go with everything else in your wardrobe.
Top off your look with a moisturizing lipbalm that protects with an SPF 15 and gives your lips just enough color. I’m on my second one because it’s one of my favorite lip treatments!
Onto the looks! For the first look, I wanted to go as cute and “springy” as possible so what better top to add to your wardrobe than this poplin tie cold shoulder top? I’ve been gravitating towards the cold shoulder trend so I’m LOVING this crisp white one. I’m not usually one for light-wash jeans, but after seeing these frayed skinny jeans on Caitlin earlier this week, it’s not so bad!

If you’re a bit more hot-natured, this raw hem denim skirt will keep you cooler. Depending on your price range, this skirt might be a bit bit pricey, but remember cost divided by times per wear if you’re going to wear it all season or better yet, two out of four seasons of the year. I like that you can dress it down even more with sneakers.
Since my first suggestion is a casual look, try a dressier look with this poplin wrap dress under $100! This is something I’d totally wear for church or out to lunch with my girlfriends. You can totally keep it casual with a pair of Converse chucks or these leather sneakers for a preppy feel!

For other spring outfit ideas, you can also pair these accessories with this striped cold shoulder ruffle sleeve top (so cute for $21!) or this pinstripe peplum shirt (aren’t the bow details on the back cute?) with white denim or distressed shorts and you’ve still got a comfortable outfit!
Which look is more your style? Look 1 or look 2? Let me know in the comments!
Have a fantastic weekend!
