Happy #WellnessWednesday guys! Today, I’m throwing it back a bit early to last week with Dallas Fitness Ambassadors & CorePower Yoga for my second Sunset Yoga event! My very first event with DFA was Sunset Yoga at the Sheraton last year (check out my tree pose, ha!) This year, the event was held in the beautiful CenterGarden at NorthPark Mall and I was happy to be back!
I had to snap the picture above because the flowers were so pretty. I mean, how could I not with Louis Vuitton in the background too? ::wink::
Here are a few pictures from our evening:
I met Mai Lyn of Deep Fried Fit a few years ago on Instagram. She started following me and encouraged me to apply to Dallas Fitness Ambassadors. When I found out DFA was a group of health and wellness bloggers, I held back. Yeah, I delayed my application as long as I could because I didn’t believe my blog was good.
After I got over my limiting beliefs, I submitted my application and didn’t look back. I’m so thankful she kept in touch and encouraged me. She’s been incredibly understanding and supportive of me being MIA because of my injuries from my accident. I’m so thankful for her and her friendship!
How do you like my chair pose? This picture means a lot to me. It shows how long I’ve come with my recovery. It wasn’t until a month ago that I could lift my arms above my shoulders.
I love Ginger‘s spirit! She’s DFA’s event manager and is hilarious! When you put her and Jerica on social media together, prepare for a laugh fest! Can you imagine them interacting in person? Hang around both of them long enough and you’ll get a six-pack just from laughing so much! Check out her perspective about the event from her blog post!
Isn’t the name of this juice so fun? If you know me, you know have a thing for cheesy puns, ha!
DFA’s partners for this event were Juicebar, NorthPark Center, The Drybar, Make Up Forever, Green House Market, lululemon, MiniLuxe and Fresh Beauty. I’m obsessed with Fresh’s sugar lip treatment so I was excited to get some samples from their peony line.
Danny caught me concentrating hardcore on my warrior pose, haha! Rachel on the other hand looks adorable! Since I had a guest pass and she hates working out alone, it was a win-win!
Anyway, whoever thinks yoga doesn’t count as working out hasn’t tried or practiced it. Thank goodness for my fish oil for a quick recovery because my legs were jello!
Many of the cool down moves (like the pigeon stretch) we did that night brought me back to drill team stretches I did in high school. Although I was in some pain, it felt good to do a group workout again.
Here are some of our Dallas Fitness Ambassadors after the event! Clearly we had a great time! It was such a cool evening (which is rare in Texas) so it was perfect to get manis done afterward with MiniLuxe (totally made Rachel get a turquoise mani, haha)!
