As I age, I’ve come to a point where I’m spending less and less with big box stores and supporting more small businesses and brands.
And if you’ve been around here for a while, you’d know I’ve shared many times before about the way we spend our money determines the kind of world we want to live in.
For me, I just get so much joy in supporting someone’s brand/business.
Owning a tangible piece of someone’s dream is the icing on the cake because I’m not just supporting someone’s livelihood, but acknowledging their hard work.
In today’s article, I wanted to share with you some amazing small brands I’ve purchased products from, use, and/or absolutely love.
You’ll recognize brands from past articles and rightfully so because the quality/value I have received is worth the money! Alongside that, you’ll see some of my friends’ businesses (some whom I’ve made purchases from as well) as shameless plugs and lift them up this holiday season.

Audrey and I have became friends this last year and it’s so surreal having a woman like her in my life albeit she’s across the pond.
I cannot tell you how hard Audrey and her ALV team works to put out each collection. Her photography skills are on another level too! She is definitely one of the best women-owned brands out there due to the high standards she sets for herself, her brand, and each collection she launches.
From limited quantities of her own designs to rare curated vintage collections, when purchase from her, it’s a fact that you’ll own one-of-a-kind pieces. I mean, I have a small growing collection from her and the quality is top-notch.

I met Nano on social media several years back when she sent me the cutest pieces to share with my audience.

I found beauty YouTuber, Amanda Ensing when I found out Sephora cancelled her in 2020 for her conservative beliefs.
Since then, she has created Elevate Beauty and I’m in LOVE! Each product has a Bible verse on the packaging and her products are vegan and cruelty-free which I appreciate.
I have several shades from her already, but Grace is my favorite if you’re looking for a pinky-mauve liquid lipstick.

I found Anna a little over a year ago when I had a terrible experience with dip from several other nail salons that I shall not name

Social media definitely has it positives because I also met Kristen online! We’ve been social media friends for years. She is a wife, mama to the cutest boys, and a very talented artist.
Kristen creates such beautiful original paintings of florals, nautical themes, palms, and seascapes. When Amanda Ensing when she first launched her beauty brand, Elevate Beauty, a few years ago, her website was so gorgeous, I had to find out who the designer was.
And that’s how I found Brooke, founder of Nari Creative! I then find out she designed the packaging for a supplement brand I take too. Am I surprised? Nope.
While I haven’t worked with her yet, I cannot wait to partner with her in the future to do some design work for my own brand!
For me, making a purchase from a small business/brand is so meaningful and fills me up.
I also must say, I feel immensely blessed to have many creative friends in my life who are just killing it the business world. And they are immensely successful at that too!
It’s so inspiring to see them chasing their dreams, do it with tons on their plates, and supporting others in the process! Talk about having a quality circle of friends! My network is truly next level, y’all!
