I’m at a time in my life where I don’t take anything for granted and am well aware of my blessings.
And one of the greatest blessings to me at the moment is my identity. Knowing who I am and growing everyday to become a better version of myself today compared to yesterday gets me so excited!
My increasing confidence in myself and my abilities just feels SO amazing!
And with my current attitude, I’m excited to be going on new adventures in 2020.
What’s more exciting?
Just the mere thought of the day I meet my partner. To meet someone who’s just as hardworking (if not more) supporting me in who I’m becoming and what I’m doing and I him fills me with the utmost joy.
Knowing that I will have a partner who won’t be afraid to tell me the truth just pushes to work harder on myself right now.
I can’t say that I’ve always believed in myself.
And I know that has a lot to do with my experiences, what I exposed myself to, and who I surrounded myself with throughout my life.
However, after about half a decade of working on myself in every way possible, I feel like I’ve finally arrived.
It feels so good to be more secure in myself and comfortable in my skin that I’m finding myself smiling for no reason.
So much so that I feel like I’m on fire.
And I cannot wait until this flame just grows out of control!
I firmly believe that…
You can't live your best life if you don't believe in yourself. Click To TweetThe journey to living your best life starts with learning to be unapologetically yourself. And I personally believe that the best time to do that is while you’re still single.
With that, I share with you one of my absolute favorite quotes of all time:
“She lives her life like a flame; a dance of purposeful chaos.… … She is a flame with an unforgettable glow…A weak man will try to dim her luminance…but her soulmate will take pleasure in fanning the blaze.” – Steve Maraboli
On a sidenote, I wanted to share a casual Thanksgiving outfit with you! You’ll have holiday parties where the dress code is a bit more fancy and for that, I recommend following Mary Orton and her 30 Dresses in 30 Days series. To boot, she is hilarious! I mean, she and I could be besties with her sense of humor. Mary can look chic while being completely real with you so check her out!
And then there will be some gatherings where we won’t need to dress up. The latter half is always like this with my friends and family. I kept this casual Thanksgiving outfit very easy for several reasons. First, you need to be able to hide your food baby. Secondly, you’ve got to have some stretch to be able to jump up and argue should the other team get the point when playing a game. And lastly, you’ve got to be able to stay warm to your heart’s content so layering is key!
