Product Review: Revlon Lip Products | She Sweats Diamonds

Happy Tuesday, loves! It’s been a while since I’ve done a beauty product review so I thought I’d share my recent drugstore lip product haul (all under $7/each!) with y’all! Before I dive in, I want to make it clear that as I was cleaning out my beauty drawer, I came across several Just Bitten sticks I’ve purchased from Revlon over the years that made me want to go out and discover some of their other products. All this to say…

This post is not sponsored in any way.

I just thought I’d revisit a brand I grew up with (thanks, mom!) and love using to this day! I’ve also included color swatches below along with short reviews of each product line for you!

From top to bottom:

  1. Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in color 215 Super Natural

I naturally gravitate towards nude pinks so this beautiful shade caught my eye! It glides on get smoothly and is a very light shade of pink. If you want to go for a barely-there look, I’d go for this color! I think this shade is perfect for a day at the beach/pool! It gives just enough color without being overdone. The wand is exactly like those disposable wands cosmetic counters give you to try on colors and holds a good amount of gloss.

  2. Revlon Ultra HD Lip Laquer in 570 Smoky Topaz

This shade is a darker pink compared the gloss above. You can’t see it in the photo, but this gloss does have glitter. However, the glitter is not an in-your-face kind of glitter. The formula is so nice and gives off the perfect shade of nude pink. The only bad thing I can say about this gloss is that I hate the applicator! The wand looks exactly like a mini paint brush and doesn’t put on color with precision. Maybe it’s just me. Love the gloss, hate the wand, ha!

  3. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in 630 HD Seduction

Ahh, what can I say about this lipcolor? It’s great! The color is a perfect cross between a rosy pink and a nude pink. I’ve never tried a matte lip formula before because I’m always afraid matte formulas will dry out my lips. Well, one swipe of this color and I was sold. However, I did have to apply some Carmex mid-day to help add some moisture to my lips. The wand is in the shape of a flat and pointy eyeshadow q-tip so applying with precision is great! I highly recommend using a lip polish to exfoliate your lips before applying any kind of matte lip color. You don’t want your lips to look like something out of the Dry Dry Desert, ha!

  4. Revlon Matte Balm in 205 Elusive

Like I said above, I’ve been using Revlon’s Just Bitten lip balm stains on and off for several years now. Actually, their Just Bitten line was my first-ever lip product review five years ago this September (check out this old blog post – no judgement on the design of my first blog please, lol)! Obviously, it was a no brainer to finally try their matte balm too! This color is a very tropical-ish pink. The formula is very velvety, glides on incredibly smooth. Honestly, it’s fun to line and fill your lips. Maybe it’s because it’s like a giant crayon to me, haha! I seriously want all of their colors! Again, just use a lip polish to scrub the dead skin off before you put on this beautiful lip color!

The swatches below are taken in order from the list above. Left is in front of a sunny window, middle is also in front of a window (sun was going down) and the last is with flash. I hope this helps with what the colors look like in different lighting settings.

Confession: I have a weird quirk of a routine before I go to bed at night. I must hydrate my lips (my favorites are this rose lip balm or Carmex) otherwise, I can’t sleep. Is it just me who does this though? I hope I’m not the only one who’s like this, lol!

Please note I used these products for several weeks before writing this review. I wanted to give you an accurate review of each product so I wasn’t just going to use it once or a few time and then tell you about it. I really pride on giving you real-time and accurate reviews so I hope this helps if you’re looking for affordable lip products! Tell me…

What are some of your favorite drugstore lip products?

I hope you enjoyed this post because if you’ve been following me awhile, you’ll know I’m a sucker for pinks in the nude/beige shade. From my favorite nail polish to accessories and even home decor, this color has my heart! If you’re a pinky/nude/beige lover, then I hope you really liked this post!

Oh and for those who want to know if Revlon tests on animals, they do not. Here is their animal testing policy if you want more information!
