Happy Friday eve, loves! I thought I’d share an update with you on my nail polish product review with Dior Vernis Gel Nail Polish – just in time for the spring season.
Story time! Last August, before I headed to Salt Lake City for a business trip, I thought I’d do my nails. I sat for an hour watching television waiting for them to dry before I went to bed. I woke up a few hours later and apparently, my nails didn’t have enough time to dry. Needless to say, I was hours from my flight departing so I left for SLC with messed up nails. When I say messed up, I mean you see could “rolling hills” on my nailbeds! My nails looked like it had tiny landscapes all over them. Cue emoji eyeroll. I’ll refrain from telling you what brand I used, haha!
Before my conference started, I popped over to Nordstrom (loved that they’re next door to my hotel!) to see if I could pick up some polish remover pads and find a new fun nail color. I met Grey, a sweet sales associate in the beauty department who helped me pick out Dior’s long-wear nail polish in a color called 769 Front Row. I also got Deborah Lippman’s Nail Polish Remover Finger Mitts (review to come later).
I liked their lip balm and after doing my own nails, I adore their polish too!
The color glided on so smooth and evenly. The brush is flat and round-shaped allowing you to paint close to your cuticles in just 2-3 strokes without mistakes. I was also pleased with the almost non-existent odor.
My manicure lasted throughout the entire conference too so I was definitely a happy camper!
Most of the time, I use Formula X, Butter London or Deborah Lippman polishes, so I thought $27 was a little pricey for one bottle of polish, but I’m happy I gave Dior Vernis Gel Nail Polish a chance. Front Row was easy to apply and lasted longer than I expected. It took me about five minutes total to do my own nails. Totally worth the price in my opinion!
I recently nabbed 257 Incognito and totally blame Sabrina over on The Beauty Lookbook. I had just finished cleaning out my polishes and giving away colors I no longer used and stumbled on her neutral nail polish review! It was like she knew I was looking for classic colors to add to my collection, haha! I told her she was an enabler, but a good one, lol! When I saw her talk about Dior’s Incognito color, I thought I’d see it in person and guys, it’s beautiful! I’ll update this post with a picture of my mani with the new color in a few weeks.
Out of all her neutral nail polish reviews, I also loved Essie’s Topless and Barefoot and Tom Ford’s Sugar Dune. I totally loved the fact that she included super affordable polishes to luxury splurges in her review. She’s a great beauty blogger if you’re looking for someone you can trust!
If you’re looking for a new brand of polish to try, I honestly believe you won’t regret choosing Dior. I just love the Dior brand. When I think of them, I think of chic, classic and feminine so I can’t wait to get my hands on more of their nail colors to add to my nail polish collection.
Have you tried Dior Vernis Gel Nail Polish before? If so, how do you like it?
