Yep, the title to this blog post is exactly what it is.
Personal growth and success have been on my mind a lot lately. A lot.
Maybe it’s because I’m finally realizing that it’s fun to go through the growing process. And even more exciting? That it’s okay to go for my dreams.
To some, success equals nice houses, cars, wardrobes and traveling the world. To me, personal growth is a major part of success.
You know, those Instagram accounts that follow you and when you check them out, they have flashy cars, travel out the ying yang and just look like they’re living a #goals life? Those things can definitely be results of real success, but to me, having inner peace and experiencing continual growth is the result of true success.
I strive to have inner peace and to continue to grow in the midst of living out my dreams.
I know what you may be asking. But what about living out my dreams? Where do I start?
I believe having the right mindset is important, but even then, your mindset can’t get you on track, at least not right away. I believe…
True success lies in what/who you surround yourself with when it comes to living out your dreams. Click To Tweet
Hear me out. If you attend great events, read books and surround yourself with people who are hustling, wouldn’t you say that there’s a high chance you’re learning something? Would you agree that you’d start catching on to the positive vibes others are putting out and eventually get to a place of feeling extremely motivated to chase your dreams and do what it takes to make things happen?
I think so. For me personally, that’s where I’m at in my life. There’s just something about following people who are making things happen for themselves.
A few movers and shakers I love to follow who are just killing it: Lydia Elise Millen, her fiance, Ali Gordon, Lewis Howes, Shawn Mendes, Kayla Itsines, Gary Vaynerchuck and Marianna Hewitt.
So…
How can I stay on track when it comes to pursuing my goals and living out my dreams?
As you continue to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually, surround yourself with people who are on fire and loving life. I’ve found that as I’m pursuing my goals, more and more of my friends are finally doing something they love or they’re making that career move that they waited to do for so long.
And that’s what’s been so inspiring to me lately! I just get so pumped to see people live out their dreams and love what they do because it makes me wish there were 24 waking hours in a day so I can have more time to do what I love.
If you’re scared, it’s okay.
It’s normal. Venturing into the unknown is scary. New people may come along and your environment may be unfamiliar, but you know what? It’s okay because you’ll survive. Sometimes, the not-so-fun part is putting yourself out there and not knowing what will happen, but you know what’s even better than that?
Finding out that you’ll be okay once you take the leap is the fun part. That’s the exciting part of the unknown. You just have to know that you’ll never be ready for anything, but that everything is figureoutable!
