Black Jumpsuit (old, love this jumpsuit) | B Brian Atwood Lace Heels c/o Clotheshorse Anonymous (love these similar lace heels; last seen in this outfit post) | Falabella Bag (a generous gift from a friend years ago; yes, it’s faux snakeskin) | Hoop Earrings (made by my friend, Leslie of Leslie Ann Jewelry) | Nude Lipstick in Intense Nude
To me, I’m pretty sure the fastest way to look put together is a black jumpsuit. If I’m running out of time before an event, I tend to reach for my favorite, comfortable yet polished jumpsuit. I got this jersey-ish jumpsuit from TJ Maxx a few years ago and it’s been a lifesaver for me time and again. It came with a skinny belt, but I took that off since it looked cheap. I know I can cinch my waist with another belt, but I think the way the fabric drapes over my chest already helps define my waist.
On important days when I feel and look like I have a (food) baby, I totally reach for this look. It’s easy wear with heels for big meeting days and definitely a no-brainer with low-heeled sandals (these are the ones I wear; currently on sale for $40 from an original $120) for the summer season.
My advice for picking out jumpsuits is to make sure to go for a style that flatters your body most. Choose a style that is versatile. If you rarely wear jumpsuits, it’s best to choose one where you can wear to work, a night out on the town or even to black tie weddings. Choose one where you’ll be comfortable when sitting and moving around in. If a jumpsuit elongates your body, even better! I’m 5′ 3″ yet I look like I’m 5′ 10″ with heels when I wear this outfit.
If I can style this jumpsuit at least two ways, it’s a real winner in my book. Well, any clothing piece I can do this with is a winner because #CostDividedByTimesPerWear yo.

How do you feel about wearing a jumpsuit?
As you know, I love it. The only downside to jumpsuits? Feeling cold and almost naked when you’re going to the bathroom, haha!
Sidenote, I didn’t post on Friday and yesterday on purpose as I needed a mini break. Thanks for understanding!
