“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…” —Ecclesiastes 3:1

Summer is over and I must say, I’m sad it has come and gone already. It truly was one of the most life-changing summers I’ve had in the best way.

Although I was going a hundred miles an hour, I made decisions this summer that I know changed my life for the better.

Was it difficult? Absolutely. Did I feel relief? Absolutely.

While I can’t say it was an “Instagram-worthy” summer, it truly was the most peaceful.

Now that summer is officially over, I wanted to reshare moments I’ve thoroughly enjoyed these past several months.

THIS SUMMER, I…

WATCHED

For the entirety of summer, I binged nearly every mystery show on Acorn TV. Ones I’ve started and finished are: The Madame Blanc Mysteries, Harry Wild, The Brokenwood Mysteries, My Life is Murder, Whitstable Pearl, and as of earlier this week, Foyle’s War.

Dare I say that their mystery shows are better than American ones? Yep!

I also just finished watching the documentary, Katrina: Come Hell and High Water and it was so sad and anger-inducing. For late-night humor, I started watching Home Improvement again and it brings back so many childhood memories!

READ

This summer, I slowed down and focused on more faith-based books.

I read The Biblical Path to Financial Freedom by Seth M. Jones and Walking with God: How to Hear His Voice by John Eldredge. Both books were so good and just what I needed to learn more about to grow.

PLAYING

I’ve been playing Goods Sorting on and off to keep my brain active.

EATING/DRINKING

Food-wise, I’ve been eating a lot of salads at home in addition to what I call the trifecta: protein, green veggie, and a carb to switch things up.

I’m still eating out at my favorite places occasionally: Bushi Bushi, Asian Buffet, Eataly, and Pho Palace.

Drink-wise, milk tea with boba has also been my favorite go-to “drink treat” on hot days.

While I’m not much of a fruit person (I only like a handful of various fruits), I’ve had my fair share of summer fruit with mango and pineapple.

On the healthier side, I’ve also been drinking a ton of water with my electrolyte peptides to stay hydrated. The tropical hydrated flavor is permanently back in stock, yay! More on peptides later!

I’ve also been enjoying so much sourdough goodness made by my friend, Erica. She has made me crackers and bread and I’m pretty sure that if she opens a business, I’ll be a permanent customer, ha!

To support my body on a deeper level, I’m also taking my magnesium and taking vitamin D (magnesium doesn’t work without this vitamin) and have added on several layers of bioactive precision peptides including Restore, a sleep peptide (that will launch this fall) to my daily supplement routine.

WEARING

I stepped outside of my comfort zone a few weeks ago and wore a modern western outfit to a Denim & Diamonds party!

What do we think?

BUYING

I waited until summer sales to nab everything I needed for fall: a wool coat, 100% cotton trench coat, brown suede loafers, and long sleeve ribbed t-shirts.

For beauty, I nabbed this eyeshadow palette and replenished on my Summer Fridays skincare products Rich Cushion Cream and Midnight Ritual Retinol.

LISTENING

To ease into my day, I’ve been playing instrumental worship music. If I want to get things done, Lindsey Stirling.

PLANNING

Currently, I’m not planning anything, but am thinking about some of my 2026 goals.

I’m also continuing on being intentional in slowing down to organize myself so I can speed up.

LOOKING FOR

Honestly, I’m looking for more of God’s voice, presence, and peace in my life.

LOOKING FORWARD TO

I’m looking forward to rebranding myself in the next six months to a year.

Health-wise, while I’m making great progress, I’m looking forward to improving my health even more so that I’ll be in the best shape this next decade of my life.

Fun-wise, I booked a business trip to Orlando, but am really looking forward to a trip to Germany (or somewhere) with my best friends sometime in 2026!

LOVING

I love that my affiliate business is growing even though I don’t know what I’m doing much, hah!

I’ve been LOVING seeing my old friends whom I haven’t seen in years at a business conference several weeks ago.

It was SO fun meeting new friends and reuniting with old ones. To know we’re on the same page in terms of dreaming big tells me I’m at the right place, at the right time, with the right people!

If it weren’t for mosquitoes, I’d be outside a lot more. To see sunsets like this just fills up my soul.

I have also decided to do a little photography by taking pictures of flowers for my social media. The goal is to greet my followers with a shot of God’s creation when I’m posting Instagram stories each day.

THINKING ABOUT

I’ve been thinking a lot about who I want to become and what I want to do with my life. Life is going by so fast and I don’t want to waste it working a job I don’t enjoy. If you’re in the same boat, remember one thing. Just because you’re good at it doesn’t mean you should do it. Do what your heart loves/enjoys!

I’ve also thought about switching churches so I’ve been visiting others in the area while listening to see where God leads me.

HATING

I am absolutely hating those who are celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

While we’re on this topic, I’m hating that Christians are hating fellow Christians for asking questions about what happened. God gives us discernment for a reason. If something in your spirit feels off, there’s a good reason that God wants you to pay attention to something.

SLACKING ON

Yep, you guessed it. It’s still sleep. However, I must say, I’ve improved a ton, haha!

STRUGGLING WITH

I’m struggling with accepting the fact that I’ll be a certain milestone age. Maybe it’s because I feel like I’ve “wasted” a lot of time working instead of living…

IMPROVING

I’ve been making gains at the gym and I’m so proud of myself. I cannot wait to see what happens when I get my nutrition plan from my trainer,

THINKING ABOUT…SUMMER 2025 LESSONS

This past summer, I learned that God’s timing is everything. You can rush things and not feel at peace or you can do it on God’s timetable and be at peace. I said no to anxiety so I waited a long time and listened before taking the leap. And I’m so glad I did!

Another thing I’ve learned is that even though taking the risk to leave a job you’ve been at for a long time may feel scary, it can also provide the relief you need. After that comes time freedom and the courage to start over.

I’ve also learned that the things we’re seeing unfold is very much a spiritual war. When you understand that, the events you see on the national and international stage is truly about good versus evil.

Even though I feel like I haven’t accomplished much this summer, I know I’ve grown a ton as a person. And while I don’t know exactly what I want yet, I do know what I don’t want.

That said, before I unwillingly welcome winter soon, I hope you enjoyed some of my 2025 summer reflections and life updates. On the bright side, I will be prepared with prayer, vitamin D, sweaters, and my Lumebox.

Let’s catch up with each other!  Update me and let me know what’s going on with you as of late in the comments below!

What are some of your favorite 2025 summer moments? I always love living in the moment and sharing life recaps later. Think of this article as my 2025 summer reflections and life updates!
