A few weeks ago, I talked about being apologetically me. I’m not going to lie, I re-read my post over and over again. After the fifth time, I started to wonder how I was going to be my most authentic self through this blog/my brand.
The answer? To be my real self is to always be embracing change and intentionally evolving. Because when I resist change and growth, I resist finding out who I really am and what I’m capable of.
One of the things I have always stood by is transparency, even with complete strangers who read my blog. So today, I wanted to talk about some new things that are on the horizon and how SSD is going to evolve over time.
Website redesign
I love growing and looking back to not only see how far I’ve come, but to see how much I’ve evolved. This includes my style, especially the feel and look of my blog. I’ve been researching on a few designs that are more me, but I don’t plan on making a decision just yet. Maybe mid-summer at the earliest, but for sure, this coming fall. I think it’d be a nice way to kick off the start of my favorite season of the year.
Outfit inspiration that is more “me”
As I’m revamping my wardrobe and organizing my closet, it’s been so fun to add pieces I’ve found at Clotheshorse Anonymous that I, let’s be real here, would not buy full-price until I’m making at least six-figures or more. Figuring out which designers speak to me is so much fun! I cannot wait to show you guys more of who I am in terms of my ever-evolving style!
More activewear posts
Getting my health back on track is important to me now more than ever. And obviously, going to the gym is hard, but it’s a lot easier when you’re wearing and feeling powerful in gym clothes that make you feel good and look good! I’m so excited to be sharing my gym and athleisure style with you guys!
Deeper content to bring you value
Now, I’m not sure just yet, but I plan on diving deeper into topics that many fashion bloggers don’t talk about. Why? Because to me, it’s important to be real and talk about the real things in life, like losing a loved one, dealing with depression within friendships, anxiety and maintaining long-distance friendships. At the end of the day, life is much more than clothes and makeup so you’ll see more posts about what’s on my heart.
Videos
Don’t laugh at me, but I’m way past my own deadline of editing my first YouTube video. Like, I started last fall late. Okay, you can laugh, lol! I don’t know why, but I hate talking to an inanimate object. I know it sounds stupid. So, to get over my mentality, I plan on utilizing more of a video format to share content. I’m working on doing more Insta-stories as well. Additionally, I plan on posting at least one video a month or on a quarterly-basis on my YouTube channel. I haven’t decided yet because I need to get a camera first, ha!
As things evolve and change around here, I hope you guys are excited as much as I am! Please let me know what kind of content you’d like to see because it’s important to me to consider your thoughts and ideas too!
I can’t wait to show you how She Sweats Diamonds will be evolving!
In the meantime, stay tuned for a Memorial Day sales post tomorrow! Happy Friday Eve!
