Since it’ll be cold this weekend, I wanted to share a look I wore last week, you know, when it was December, lol! Hey, it’s now or never, right? I don’t care what the groundhog says, I think summer is going to show up early here in Dallas so I might as well share my “winter” looks for you now before all things floral take over!
Anyway, I’m so bummed! You ever have a favorite brand or company that you just love getting clothes from? Me too. You ever have a favorite brand or company break up with you? Well, that’s what happened to me this month.
As some of you know, The Limited officially closed its doors this month due to bankruptcy. And I’m SO sad. My first encounter with this company started almost five years ago. My best friends gifted me an outfit from The Limited for my first day in corporate America and I fell in love with their clothes ever since.
Let me tell you, finding a company that knows about clothes is hard. So when I tried their pants for work, The Limited won my heart. They won my heart through several vests, some jewelry, more than a dozen pair of pants and just recently, a turtleneck sweater and some dresses. Without realizing it, I said my final goodbyes to the company by purchasing a few dresses, pants and this turtleneck sweater I’m wearing in today’s post.
Since this turtleneck sweater has a poly-shell sewn into it, I didn’t need to layer anything else so I threw this sweater over my leggings and topped it off with my coat and called it a day.
Funny thing is, I’m not usually a turtleneck sweater kind of girl, but for some reason, the fashion gods knew. They knew I needed more decently-priced, high quality clothes to be a part of my work wardrobe forever. As I shed my fashion tears, I share with you one of my last pieces I ever purchased from the company.
Don’t worry though, I have a few more “springy” pieces to share with you in the coming months!
