Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. —1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Over the last five years, I’ve worked really hard to take better care of my mind, body, and overall health.
As with every health journey, there are ups and there are downs. The down days are especially hard for me since I have a hard time sitting still.
However, I’m learning to embrace being still more. By taking Sabbath Days, I’ve learned to slow down. For example, being intentional and taking baths because I know that is something that forces slows me down for sure.
And over time, I’ve discovered resources to add to my wellness journey and workout recovery tools to help me bounce back from sweat sessions.
Here are some of the best wellness and workout recovery tools I’ve come across:
This recovery tool has been on my radar for a few years. If you work out during your travels, why wouldn’t this be a good investment?
Foam rolling is one of the OG ways to recover after an intense workout. I can’t imagine how much more a vibrating foam roller would help with sore muscles! I’d say it’s easier to foam roll after a workout than the day after a workout, ha!
I use this post-workout and it really does help especially since I lift weights several times a week. You can get $10 off for this post-workout if you’re a first-time customer!
I own this acupuncture and pillow set and loved it so much that I gifted my mom a set to help with her back pain and headaches!
Years ago, I was in a car accident that really messed up my health. For a while, I couldn’t find any “firm” pillows to help with my specific neck pain. My friend gifted me this pillow and I have been able to sleep well for the last several years!
This massage ball is made in Germany and is so well-made as it’s part stainless steel! You can unscrew the bottom and fill it with warm water to elevate the recovery process. And because it’s also on sale, I bought one for me and one for my mom!
This migraine head wrap is a new-to-me purchase last week. I bought it for my mom and had a gut feeling I should buy one for myself so I did. Lo and behold, I needed to use it the next day. No more lumpy ice packs. Just put it on and if you pass out, it’s okay because it’s that good! Let this be a sign that if you think you need one, you probably do!
