Confession: skincare and beauty products have taken over my life! And I’m loving every moment of it! So much so that I decided to start a series of posts called Beauty Haul Diaries so I can share more with you what I’m hauling. These posts will be filed under beauty and shared either on a quarterly or semi-annual basis, but I haven’t decided yet. Note that these posts may include samples from personal orders I place or PR packages I receive as well.
To keep my wallet from crying, I decided to invest big time during sales only. This year I stocked up during the Sephora Spring Bonus Event. And today, I wanted to share purchases I’ve made over the last several months or so in preparation to change up my beauty routine for Spring/Summer! And obviously, I’ve started test driving a lot of these products already.
Let’s talk all-things beauty!
I talked about this face oil earlier this year. After using the tiny sample I received every night for two weeks (yep, it lasted me that long!), I took the plunge and ordered the full bottle. Still waking up with no redness on my face!
LANEIGE Slumber Party Set (set no longer available)
All I can say is that my mom would be so proud of me for trying Korean beauty products, haha! I’m just now incorporating the Laneige brand into my nighttime routine so I’ll let you know how it goes in a review down the road! In the meantime, if you want to try their brand, check out this trial kit for $25 dollars!
I talked about having high hopes for Drunk Elephant back in April and so far, it’s doing great on my milia! Check out my short Instagram review about it. I’ll post a full review once I empty the bottle!
I haven’t tried this TATCHA sunscreen yet as I’m going through my USANA sunscreen (review coming soon) right now. However, when I’m done, this product is next on my list!
SEPHORA FAVORITES Power of the Petal (set no longer available)
The best $10 I’ve ever spent! EVER. A review of this product is so going to happen!
I still stand by what I said when I say that this is quite possibly my favorite tinted lip moisturizer!!! A little goes a long way because it’s thick, but definitely not tacky!
This one was an impulse purchase late May and I have zero regrets. As someone who has lip gloss and balms everywhere (who else does this?), I had to add this to my gym bag, duh. It’s not sticky and smells more like birthday cake than coconuts to me, ha!
The sweet team over at Lumière de Vie have been sending me their products to try, but I haven’t been able to get around to them just yet! I’ll let you guys know for sure when I start test driving them.
When the Lexli team reached out to me to try their products, I said yes after seeing some side by sides on their Instagram page. That and because they incorporate aloe vera so that was definitely more reason to try out their brand! I’ll be isolating my skincare routine with these products to show you guys any progress/improvement after I try them for awhile.
FINALLY! I nabbed this baby when it was on super sale late last month. Since purchasing it, I’ve tried it once. Yep, I’m that busy. Truthfully, I can’t give a thumbs up or a thumbs down yet because I tried it when I was in a rush. Review coming soon!
Featured in my favorite beauty products post I did last June, this eyebrow pencil still remains an absolute favorite in my makeup bag. This was a restock purchase for me.
No bleeding! Jet black! Sharp tip until the end! Anddd it doesn’t fade! Four for four and for $14, I restocked on my 5th pen. Make sure you read reviews before you buy because opinions range from both ends of the spectrum. Pretty sure quality varies between colors. I use this eyeliner in 01 Little Black Dress.
I bought this on a whim when I was in Sephora to get a birthday gift late May and y’all. It legit hides my dark circles! Review coming soon on this product too!
Last, but definitely not least, I got this lipstick for a reason you may think is stupid. I needed a compact mirror. What? Can’t a girl buy a lipstick that doubles as a compact mirror??? Verdict? Best lip color purchase I’ve made so far this year! It’s the perfect nude lipstick and pairs so beautifully with my favorite lip pencil! Oh and I blame Lydia for this purchase. It’s 100% her fault!
And that’s it for the first installment of the Beauty Haul Diaries! I really hope you guys enjoyed it! Also, I didn’t include perfumes because I’m currently on the hunt for a good summer fragrance. Did I find it ironic that Sabrina published this summer fragrance post just last week? Nope. It was meant to be, y’all!
So, what do you think of the Beauty Haul Diaries series so far?!
Have you tried any of the products or brands above? What have you hauled lately?
