As of Late, I’ve Been…Fall 2019 Edition

As of Late, I’ve Been…Fall 2019 Edition - She Sweats Diamonds - Stylin by Aylin - cozy sweater

And just like that, the last month of the year and decade is here! Within these last few months, I’ve been reflecting a lot, making plans for 2020, and thinking about the next decade of my life.

It’s been a year since I last shared a fall edition life update so no time like the present, right?

AS OF LATE, I’VE BEEN…
WATCHING

I’ve binging SO much on Netflix and I’m not even kidding. I’ve started watching Friends again after not seeing it for about a decade. I forgot how many funny lines that show had too, haha! I’m also watching Frasier reruns again and am about to binge on the second season of Jack Ryan.

As for movies, I finally saw Spider-Man: Far From Home (LOVE Tom Holland!) and went on a rare trip to the theatre to see Joker. Joaquin Phoenix was SO good. And to boot, I’m slowly collecting all superhero movies on Blu-Ray because I’m a nerd like that.

For Christmas-themed movies, I’ve seen snippets of a few Hallmark movies, watched all three A Christmas Prince movies (LOVE Ben Lamb, Rose McIver, and Honor Kneafsey!!!), Home Alone, and The Grinch. I’m pretty sure I’ll binge watch all the holiday classics within the next several weekends.

READING

As for reading, I just finished the first book of The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapowski called The Last Wish and am starting on book two (of seven) this week. I cannot wait until The Witcher airs on Netflix on the 20th so I can see how close the show is to the books. Yes, I’m THAT person, but in my defense, I have also a thing for sci-fi fantasy stories.

I also just finished The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind by Bill Johnson with my small group last week too! Not going to lie, that book had a few chapters that definitely opened my eyes.

PLAYING

For the last six months or so, I’ve been addicted to playing Homescapes. I hardly EVER play app games, but I was playing Wordscapes when the Homescapes ad popped up so I thought I’d give it a try. Let’s just say I’m on level 2000 right now. Warning, it’s addicting so it can get expensive if you’re not careful.

EATING/DRINKING

As of late, I’ve been eating M&Ms like crazy! Hey, they’re not Hershey’s so no breakouts here, lol! Oh and I swear there’s a difference between Halloween/Christmas M&Ms and regular M&Ms.

I’ve also been cutting back on creamer in my coffee. Part of me wants to be able to drink coffee black someday, but I can’t bring myself to do it just yet, so two teaspoons of creamer it is!

And it’s funny I’m telling you all this because I’ve been going through a period where I’ve had to force myself to eat because I haven’t felt like eating. It’s like no food genre has been appealing lately.

WEARING

Once again, I’ve been wearing my old, yet favorite leopard block coat from Zara a ton. Also on repeat? My red wool coat and for home, my comfy Moonlight pajamas I got a few months ago.

BUYING

I’ve been purchasing loads of skincare products! First, a sustainably-sourced rose quartz facial roller, then I went crazy with The Ordinary products. Recently, I purchased my favorite Beautycounter product, the Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion, from my friend, Clare, who’s a consultant.

LISTENING

As of late, Ruel, Jeremy Renner, The Score, and The Jonas Brothers’ song, Sucker, have been on major repeat for weeks now. #CantStopWontStop

PLANNING

On the blogging-side of things, I’ve been brainstorming for 2020 and how I can be a better writer and storyteller.

LOOKING FOR

I think I may have found THE brand to invest in a cream-colored wool coat to replace an old peacoat I donated at my Turkey Trot last week. And if you’re wondering, I still haven’t found the perfect camel coat so that’s why I’ve moved on to another investment piece.

LOOKING FORWARD TO

Every great and happy thing 2020 will bring me. I’m buckling down and ramping up my fitness for a very personal reason. I’m also excited to continue to step outside of my comfort zone with what I have planned for She Sweats Diamonds this year. So stoked to see what happens!

LOVING

As of late, I’m loving my new Nikes for running and my APL slides! I’m training for another 5K this February so I hope to hit another PR!

THINKING ABOUT

Lately, I’ve been thinking about my future and traveling for the rest of my life. I truly think I’d be happy making an income while being constantly on the go.

HATING

My foot pain. The crazy part is that I don’t have plantar fasciitis. I do think it’s because I only wear flats to work. I’m starting to research on investing in a nice pair of pointy-toe pumps. Hey, a nice pair of heels to stretch out my tendons and rotate out with my flats? I’m down with that.

SLACKING ON

I hate making car payments. However, I’m slacking hardcore on researching and budgeting for a new car. I need a new one now that my current one is sounding pretty bad after my accident a few years ago.

STRUGGLING WITH

I’m still struggling with getting enough sleep. I’m working on it, but I recently went through my sleep data and learned that the last time I had a 90% level of quality sleep was two years ago. Needless to say, I’ve been going to bed a lot earlier.

And that’s the latest update with me!

Let’s catch up with each other!
