I’m a big believer in that if you focus on good skincare, you really won’t need a lot of makeup. —Demi Moore
When I wrote down my personal goals this year, beauty was at the top of my list. Skincare was specifically at the top of my beauty goal.
After developing a rash above my eyelids this past week and suffering from dry patches, uneven skin tone along with milia for years, it was really time to hone in on skincare.
I wrote about my nighttime skincare routine this past fall. However, I did not write about my morning routine. To be honest, I have no clue what to do as I’m not a beauty expert by any means. I just want soft and glowing skin, haha!
Anyway, I thought I’d share some skincare products and brands I’d love to try this coming Spring and Summer to improve the health of my skin. Please let me know if you’ve tried any of these brands!
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
I heard so much about the Elemis brand from Lydia Millen. I’ve also learned that rubbing your skin too hard actually damages it so what’s a girl to do? I’m a huge fan of make up wipes because it’s easy, but I’m SO willing to try a cleansing balm. Maybe it’ll be magic in a jar?
PIXI Overnight Glow Serum
I’m a huge fan of face serums, so why not have this product on my radar? With ‘overnight’ and ‘glow’ as the product description, why wouldn’t I want to try this?
LA MER The Renewal Oil
If you’ve heard of the La Mer brand, you know it’s VERY pricey, but I’m SO happy one of their products from their line is particularly affordable. For under $150/bottle (1 oz.) and over 50 5-star comments, I’m pretty sure this shot to the top of my list.
Herbivore Lapis Facial Oil
Last month, I talked about asking the Sephora associate for a sample of this and let me tell you, I’m in love! The small sample she gave me lasted so long (I used it about 2-3x a week)! I also woke up with soft skin and my redness was gone! The oil doesn’t really smell and it absorbs well.
If you want to try more than just a sample size, this bottle is $26.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
This $10.00 jar will definitely be in my beauty haul this Spring. With thousands of positive reviews and the affordable price tag, this is definitely going in my cart in the next month or two!
Kate Somerville ‘Dry Skin Saver’ Moisturizer for Face, Lips & Body
I’ve always been intrigued by all-in-one skincare products and have never tried them. I thought this product was interesting and heard great things about the Kate Somerville brand!
DRUNK ELEPHANT T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial
This brand is pretty new to my ears. With over 600 positive reviews (almost a 5-star rating), is it worth a shot? I ask that because it’s $80/bottle. But 600 people think it’s a “miracle” product. I mean, they claim that it’s the solution for dullness and uneven texture, fine lines/wrinkles and uneven skin tone.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
As someone who can’t sleep without some kind of moisturizer on her lips, I’m very intrigued by this product. I’m pretty sure most people don’t think of the lips as part of their skincare much less a lip mask. Pretty sure this lip mask feels SO good on too! I’ve talking about wanting to try the Laneige brand before so is it really a surprise this product is still on my mind since fall?
