This year, I made up for our scorcher of a summer by shopping online inside, ha! And did I find tons of goods!
In this fun article, I wanted to share my latest purchases I’m using and loving now and some purchases are for later. Everything ranging from fashion and beauty to home and lifestyle, I’ve got you covered.

FASHION ― 2023 SUMMER PURCHASES
GOLD HOOP EARRINGS
While these 14K gold hoop earrings are nice, after wearing them for a while, I prefer a thicker width like these 14K Sophie hoop earrings by Cuffed which are still on my wishlist!
VINTAGE SCARF
I bought the prettiest vintage Lanvin scarf from Audrey Leighton Vintage. Just waiting for the perfect handbag/outfit to style it. Sigh.
If you love supporting small businesses, especially women-owned businesses, support Audrey. RHINESTONE BALLET FLATS
It’s so funny to me that ballet flats are making a comeback because I never stopped wearing them! I’ll never forget my first pair. They were deep black velvet flats with Chanel-esque bows. You can bet I wore them down. Actually, I wore them so much that the brand’s stamp inside faded, and to this day, I regret not having a backup pair.
You know what else I regret? Not buying a backup pair of these leather Madewell Reid ballet flats. When I wasn’t making much money, these leather flats were pricey to me. I figured I’d invest in them and they have held up so well! If they ever come back, just trust me and get them!
In the meantime, these rhinestone ballet flats are so fun for now and for the holidays! Snag them quickly because sizes are running low…fast!
PLEATED RUFFLE SHIRT
When I saw Laura Blair in this pleated ruffle shirt, I knew I had to add some drama and a bit of color to my closet, even if it’s for next spring! What a fun top!
BEAUTY ― 2023 SUMMER PURCHASES
TALC-FREE PRESSED FACE POWDER
I’ve known about Lawless beauty since Annie launched her brand several years ago. However, this talc-free pressed face powder is my first purchase from her brand. The coverage is INSANE y’all. One good swipe is enough coverage for me. I can’t even describe how good this powder is and it’s even better since it’s a clean face powder!
UNDEREYE CONCEALER
I just ran out of my Rose Inc. concealer so I thought I’d try Merit’s concealer stick. So far so good! The formula is creamy, doesn’t crease, and it has good coverage. I’m dying to try the rest of their makeup line too!
NUDE PINK LIPLINER
Even though I’m working through my old Mac lipliner and tried THIS beauty’s lipliner (which I LOVE), I wanted to get a lipliner in nude pink. While I don’t care for the brush end, I love that it’s so creamy! It’s also nice that it comes with a pencil sharpener too!
CLEAR LIP GLOSS
I’ve been a fan of Patrick Ta’s since he launched his beauty brand years ago. My first purchases were his Major Glow Lip Shine lipgloss in She’s An Influencer and Major Glow Body Oil.
After I went through my recent lip glosses, I decided to go back and go for a different shade. This time, I went for She’s Expensive. It’s a beautiful clear with gold flecks and not sticky at all! How fitting is the name for this time period of goals in my life?!
LOTION P50W
Audrey Leighton turned me on this skincare purchase. I’ve known about it for a few years from her, but only recently pulled the trigger. While I’m still in the testing phase, I’m sure she will not steer me wrong! I’ll report back soon, but I’m pretty sure this will be one of my best 2023 summer purchases!
HOME ― 2023 SUMMER PURCHASES
40 OZ TUMBLER
This was the summer I learned that Simple Modern tumblers are better than Stanley tumblers. I said what I said. One of my best 2023 summer purchases as it’s already paid for itself!
WATER GLOBES
I purchased a few of these glass water globes for when I go on vacations in the future. A few years ago, I had to make a makeshift one and I was not happy with its function or its aesthetics, ha!
BOOKLIGHT
To help me sleep better, I thought I should reduce my blue light intake in the evenings so I bought this booklight to help me read in bed. I love that this booklight has 3 different lighting temperatures.
LIFESTYLE ― 2023 SUMMER PURCHASES
COOLER BAG WITH SHOULDER STRAP
I thought this cute cooler bag would be a great addition to my (future) car if I’m going to do a small grocery run! Of course, it’s in neutral colors!
PORTABLE PHONE CHARGER
Another influencer recommendation that hasn’t let me down! Easy to charge and slim enough for my handbag and travel!
FICTION BOOK
I talked about my friend’s recent book launch in my article about my fall reading list. And I can’t wait to dive in this fall!
LEADERSHIP BOOK
I’m still working my way through this book and will listen to it while I’m working during Fashion Weeks these next few months! So far, it’s very good and I highly recommend it if you want to improve your communication skills!
