Create your own style. Let it be unique for yourself and identifiable for others. —Anna Wintour
Happy December, loves! I’m not one to go with trends, but this fall/winter, I’m digging the metallic trend.
The holidays are definitely a great reason to test out this trend and have a little fun with your wardrobe.
To help you get some outfit ideas, I thought I’d share some ideas on ways you can wear metallics this season!
Note that my picks are all in various price ranges. If you love the trend, you can splurge on fun pieces, but if you want to dip your toes in, there’s also affordable pieces too! You’d be surprised at how affordable some of these items are!

TOPS / DRESSES
You can go a bit “full out” with the trend wearing metallic dresses with more neutral accessories in textures like velvet or even things out with metallic tops and neutral bottoms. If you’re adventurous, try a jumpsuit!
SKIRTS / PANTS
If you’re a bit more daring, try metallic skirts or pants! I find it a bit more challenging to style this trend with metallic bottoms so if you’re up for it, go for it and get out of your comfort zone!
SHOES & ACCESSORIES
Shoes, bags, and accessories are the easiest way to try this trend (or any trend for that matter). Inject a little fun into your outfit with some catchy accessories!
Whether it’s a clutch for an evening out with your girls or a special event, your outfit is bound to look a bit more fun with some shine! A nice pair of reflective sunnies is the easiest way to play with the metallic trend.
The most daring way to try this trend? Statement shoes! Eye-catching shoes will always take your look up a notch and add some edge/fun to your looks!
I find that you can keep this trend in your closet for years to come as metallics tend to work around the holidays anyway! I’d invest in a few pieces if you know it’ll go with various outfits in your wardrobe!
Why not have a little bit of fun even if it’s in small doses, am I right?
