Would you agree that one of the most painful feelings ever is feeling stuck? Have you ever felt this way? Feeling like you’ll never get out of debt? Like school will never end? Feeling like there’s more to life than what you’re doing right now?
Just plain tired of whatever it is you’re tired of? Me too.
Years ago, my pastor at my old church said, “You know, when we’re new Christians, we ask God for many things. We ask Him to answer the many prayers we have because when they’re answered, we’re happy. One thing I’ve learned is that true happiness comes from serving the Lord and I’ve come to a point where if I’m not doing something for God, I’m not happy.”
As soon as he finished that last sentence, I thought, “That’s TOTALLY me!”
I’ve felt that way for a long time and after much prayer, He brought a wonderful opportunity to my doorstep along with amazing friends in a neat little package and I gladly signed for it. Why am I the happiest I’ve ever been? I took action because I no longer wanted to feel stuck.
Why is it that we still feel stuck when we’re presented with great opportunities to improve our financial situation, health and/or life? Part of feeling stuck is not doing something about it. And not doing something about it keeps you from growing.
The thing is, we know that growth is painful and that change is painful too, which is why we don’t take action.
Let me tell you something.
The pain of growth and change is not as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong or want to be.
And if you have heard Tony Robbins’ teachings, you’ll know that the key to happiness is growth and contribution.
If you don’t give back in some way, you’re not happy. If you’re not growing, you’re dying. And both are painful.
My challenge to you is to get up and do something to never feel stuck ever again.
Don’t wait until the pain is unbearable. Find a way to grow through the pain because you deserve more!
