My absolute favorite beauty sale is here! The Sephora VIB sale started yesterday and I’m so giddy! If you’re a regular around here, you know that not only do I love beauty, I love exploring the skincare world as well.
To cover the sale, I wanted to share with you what’s in my cart, some tried and true products and some beauty newness I’ve hauled.
Charlotte is the queen of gorgeous, neutral, dewy makeup so it’s only natural that I love her and her products! As a HUGE fan of Charlotte Tilbury, I had to give in and purchase her signature lipstick in Pillow Talk. I’m no stranger to the CT world. I already have her Wonder Glow and two lipsticks in Bitch Perfect and Very Victoria and a few more of her products.
I’m brand new to Huda Beauty. I know. I’m SO late to the game. When I read that she’s a former MUA/YouTuber turned business woman, I had to check out her line and support her. I think it’s SO awesome to watch women using products to creating products. To hold something tangible in my hands that was once a distant dream to them, inspires me so much! Review to come soon. I’m thinking of a liquid matte lipstick comparison. Let me know if you want me to review this kind of lipstick specifically!
After seeing Pat McGrath’s products and work everywhere (she just launched at Bergdorf Goodman!), I had to try out one of her products. What better way to get introduced to a brand than to go for a lip product, right? Considering every makeup product I purchased on my trip to Sephora was in a matte finish, I had to get a gloss! Hey, spring is almost here! I’ll do a lip gloss review as the weather warms up!
A newbie to my lip collection, I’m so excited to try Patrick Ta’s products! I’ve yet to try this lip shine yet, but I will say it has the prettiest pink pearly flecks! Swatch and review to come soon!
I hit pan on my mini Too Faced blush and started looking for other blush brands to try. Since I’ve heard so much about NARS and their Orgasm blush, this is in my cart!
Two cardinal skincare rules I follow no matter how tired I am? 1) I never EVER go to sleep with makeup on. Period. 2) Before I go out, I put on sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy outside. I feel naked if I don’t wear my sunscreen.
Y’all know how much I love SF’s Jet Lag Mask so it was a no brainer to nab this beautiful rose gold tube! I had put some on the back of my hand in store to test it out. And I loved the smell and texture so much that I ended up choosing the R+R mask over the Overtime mask. Will report back with a full review after I test drive it awhile!
I haven’t used body oils in years and right when I’m thinking of trying them again, Patrick Ta comes out with a product that makes the Kira Kira app jealous. I cannot wait to try out this body oil and report back to you. Summer is coming and I’m sure you want to glow everywhere!
Y’all know I’m a HUGE fan of Drunk Elephant so it’s obvious this makeup cleansing balm is in my shopping cart! I just purchased another cleansing balm so I’ll be doing a review in the coming months.
I’m working hard on gaining bright and dewy skin and I won’t stop at nothing to achieve my skincare goals. Including the price of this Vitamin C serum! I nabbed this as soon as the sale dropped and cannot wait to try it!
Because I nabbed the vitamin C serum, I put this in my cart for my next haul. I heard so many great things about it so I had to save it!
Speaking of marula oil, this is my most favorite facial oil. Ever! I’ve used this oil with Drunk Elephant’s glycolic serum and it’s been amazing on my skin! On nights when I wanted to give my skin a break and do a simple routine, I just put a few drops of this oil directly on my clean skin and it’s baby soft by morning.
The texture is smooth, silky and it doesn’t leave an oily residue at all. I bought the small bottle at first to experiment with. After running out of it months ago, all I can say that I’m writhed in pain without it. Seriously, I had withdrawals.
Since Sephora is running their VIB sale, I just purchased another bottle. The big size. And I’m keeping the small empty one to recycle it by refilling it to use when I’m traveling! Handy huh? Trust me when I say to get this facial oil for your skincare capsule!
I love, love, love my jet lag mask! Since I ran out of my marula oil, I’ve been using this jet lag mask as an alternative for the last few months. And my face is very happy with it!
My current routine? Come home after a sweat session at the gym, shower, wash my face and put on some of this amazing mask! The best parts?
1) I don’t have to wash it off and can just hop into bed.
2) It’s great as primer to use before makeup.
3) I seriously think it’s made for people on-the-go like me. Shout to Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores for thinking of us busy people!
Sidenote, I pop mine in my skincare fridge so it feels even better after a long day and a lovely shower. Then I depuff my face by using this ice roller.
If you’ve been on my skincare journey with me, you’d know that I LOVE this sunscreen from Tatcha! I talk about it all the time like people talk about Tom Brady when it comes to football.
My beauty routine and skincare capsule would never be complete without this beautiful tube of goodness! The texture is smooth and it disappears on my skin as quickly as I put it on.
The only sunscreen I’ve ever used that doesn’t leave white streaks, result in a sticky residue or give a white flashback. This is forever my favorite sunscreen to use under my makeup! Even though I wish it had a higher SPF, I will not stop using this product. If Tatcha ever makes a body sunscreen, I will gladly bathe in that stuff!
As a woman who has super thick, naturally wavy and coarse hair, I’m tired of spending so much time straightening my hair just to look polished. So what do I do? I throw it up in a bun or a braid and call it a day. After finding out that this straightening brush sold out in the UK, I patiently waited for it to arrive here in the States.
It showed up at Nordstrom first, but I wanted to wait to see if Sephora would carry it for the VIB sale. And just like that, GHD’s hot brush showed up on Sephora’s website about a week ago, but I took a gamble to wait for the sale to drop. And now? It’s on it’s way to me. I will most definitely be sharing a review with y’all including before and after!
This luxurious shampoo has helped my hair so much since I purchased it last August. It’s helped my hair look shinier and healthier. I only use it once a week and switch out with other shampoos. You don’t need much at all. I just use a quarter size and water it down in my hands to be able to work the thick product into my hair better.
I will say this particular shampoo is not for normal hair. If you need to repair your hair (colorization, heat damage, etc.), you need to look at the details as to which Olaplex product is right for your needs.
