Hey guys! I’m back! I shot this look while I was on my NYC trip with my besties. We wanted to get up early and have the city to ourselves so these pictures were taken around 7:00am. I’ve never shot a look this early in the morning before, so I enjoyed it! It was such a quiet yet windy morning. We grabbed some coffee and headed out to Brookfield Place and shot around the vicinity of the shopping center.

We made our way around to the side of the shopping center and decided to take a few snaps near the water looking over at Newark. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the cool weather that morning!

I decided to the keep the look dressy yet casual. The way the texture in the jacket meshing with the flow of the dress made for a great combination in my opinion. The embroidered jacket looks white in the photo, but here’s a close up of the jacket’s details. I kept the look comfy yet dressy with my favorite pearl slides. Not kidding when I say I’ve been wearing them nonstop, by the way!

I can definitely see wearing this for an evening out if you want to be dressy, but not over the top.

Anyway, I’ve been MIA from the blog since late last week because I’ve been so busy! I had a two day conference I attended at my church which was so good for my soul. I also had an important breakthrough near the end of the second day so I’m very happy about that right now.

The next morning, I was supposed to go boxing at Title Boxing with a few of my friends, but they screwed up our booking and then tried to charge us for it so we skipped working out and met up for coffee at Local Press instead (their avo toast and latte is really good by the way)! Afterwards, we went home to relax a bit before heading out to help at our church block party. Obviously, our group loves to chat so we didn’t get home until later in the evening. Sunday, we went to church and helped again at the block party after services and met so many new people! I went home, crashed for a few hours then went to see my mom and came home to meal prep late into the night.

As I’m writing this, I’m exhausted. That and my vitamins haven’t came in yet so I know my tired cells are part of me feeling tired, lol.

Hopefully by the time you read this, I’ll be back to my normal self!

Happy Tuesday!
