Healthy Morning Cocktail Shot | She Sweats DiamondsHappy #WellnessWednesday, loves! I seriously can’t believe we’re already in April and that Easter is this weekend! Where has the time gone?! I’ve been so busy, it’s unreal, which brings me to today’s post!

Although this short post is coming a little late today, I wanted to share with you a healthy morning cocktail shot I’ve been drinking for the last year. My personal trainer friend shared this recipe with me and it really helped with my digestion so I thought I’d be caring by sharing!

Twenty minutes after I wake up, I ignite my metabolism for the day with this recipe:

[yumprint-recipe id=’3′]For apple cider vinegar, I use the Bragg brand. You can use any brand for cayenne pepper. I personally use Simply Organic

I’ll tell you that I could call this a “Wake Up!” shot because I’m definitely wide awake after downing some cayenne pepper, haha!

Note that this cocktail recipe is a shot, not an actual drink. However, if you know you can’t handle this kind of shot, put the lemon juice, apple cider vinegar in a glass instead and fill up the rest of the glass with water to dilute some of the ACV. 

My morning routine:

If you want to know my morning routine in the kitchen, this is what I normally do. I tend to switch it up to keep my days interesting so it’s usually between this cocktail shot or hot water with lemon in the morning. After that, I have my protein shake, overnight oats, a smoothie or eggs with spinach, mushrooms and avo for breakfast. It just depends on my mood really.

Try this shot for a week and let me know what you think! Remember, abs are made in the kitchen so be mindful of what you put into your body!

    I drink something similar almost every morning! I did the warm water and lemon drink for awhile but then started adding the ACV. At first it was tough to drink, but now it’s easy!

    Yes!! I heard about this recipe when I joined Tone It Up almost three years ago. I used to drink this religiously every morning. I have stopped, I need to get back on it.
